Hey there!
I'm Alex. I grew up amongst the cornfields of central Illinois, studied mechanical engineering at UIUC, and then got my PhD at Stanford University, focusing on soft sensors and actuators.
After that I co-founded Mezli with two Stanford friends, aiming to bring down the cost of healthy convenience food with automation. We built a product we’re really proud of, served 10,000 meals, but had to shut down due to difficulty fundraising in a tough market.
I learned a lot through my 3 years with Mezli. Now I’m building building faster, high-mix manufacture processes, to solve the pains I had building a hardware startup.
When I'm not working on a project, you can probably find me doing some outdoor sports or whipping up something fun in the kitchen.
